River Park North in Greenville, NC, is a great escape available for residents and visitors alike! The 324-acre nature park provides outdoor recreational activities ranging from hiking and camping to fishing and boating.
What to Do

If fishing is what brings you to River Park North, you will have plenty of options. There are five ponds and two piers. The ponds are well-stocked with catfish, and you’ll probably see plenty of frogs and turtles too.
Other Things to Enjoy
Besides hiking, fishing, biking and other outdoor recreational fun, River Park North has special programs and clubs. The park offers programs like boating safety and hunter safety. There are also fun events like an upcoming photography contest and an October fishing contest.
The Walter L. Stasavich Science & Nature Center is also located on the grounds. The nature center includes a 70-seat theater, 10,000-gallon freshwater aquarium, wildlife displays and interactive exhibits.
Location and Hours
River Park North is located at 1000 Mumford Road near the PGV Airport. The park is currently operating under winter hours—from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. On March 1, hours change to the spring schedule, which is 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
However, hours may vary due to the extended modified Stay at Home Order issued by the state.
