More on the Fourth of July event
You already know the date: July 4th! As for the rest, we can fill you in.
Held by Hastings Ford, the City of Greenville, and Greenville Parks and Recreation, this event gives us all a chance to celebrate our nation’s holiday. And while it will offer the classic characteristics of an Independence Day event—like fireworks—it also holds a few fun surprises!
What can I do at the Fourth of July event?
Speaking of surprises—here are a few of the things you can look forward to when you commemorate the Fourth of July 2021 in Greenville:
- Drinking delicious brews from a beer garden run by The Greenville Jaycees;
- Jamming along to live music;
- Eating tasty food from a variety of different vendors; and
- Watching a spectacular fireworks show.
All about the music
You’ll want to show up early to this event! The celebration promises a double dose of great performers.
First up, you’ll find Sensory Expressions. This a band plays reggae and Caribbean music. Listen for their smooth saxophones and cool steel drums.
Then, cheer for the headliner! The Chuck Phillips Band will take the stage next. Fronted by singer-songwriter Chuck Phillips, the group will play some of his original songs. And for those of us who like the classics, they’ll also play rock favorites as well!
This event celebrates our freedom—so it’s fitting that attendance is free for all. Running from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., it takes place at Town Common at 100 East First St. The fireworks go off at dusk—so make sure you’re there and settled before then!
