About Prints and Clay
First of all, you don’t have to live in Greenville, or even in North Carolina, for that matter, to receive your very own Prints and Clay custom piece. In fact, the whole process can be handled online and through the mail.
It all starts by ordering a “Mail Order Print Kit.” The kit has everything you will need to get your child’s or pet’s print. Customers need one kit per child or pet. Once the print kit arrives at your home, follow the directions for capturing the handprint, footprint or paw print on the mold.
Once the mold dries, ship it back to Prints and Clay using the provided free shipping return label. From there, the artists at the shop get to work creating a one-of-a-kind piece. The prints you send will be stamped onto your choice of pottery or clay.
Then a design is hand-sketched and painted around the print. Finally, the finished pieces are shipped back to you within six to eight weeks! You can learn more about how it works before you place your order.
